The first instalment in Strut’s Inspiration Information studio collaboration series witnessed Detroit soul favourite Amp Fiddler vibing in Jamaica with the legendary ‘Riddim Twins’, Sly Dunbar & Robbie Shakespeare. Hot on the heels of the album release, Strut presents a tasty new set of remixes of one of the lead tracks, ‘Blackhouse’, a reinterpretation of George Clinton’s ‘Paint The White House Black’ which holds a timely message around the current US presidential elections. Remixes come from one of London’s hottest current production teams, GreenMoney, aka Alex Phountzi (Bugz In The Attic) and Yoyo DJ Leo Greenslade, and Trus’ Me, the alter ego of Manchester DJ / producer David Wolstencroft. Having blasted through with their dynamite house mix of Kanye West’s ‘Love Lockdown’, GreenMoney turn in some smacking Afro vibes on the 4x4 vocal and stretch out soundboy-style with the harder, buzzing club dub. Trus’ Me takes the track into trademark mid-tempo analogue disco territory with a smouldering re-work, an end of night classic for the connoisseurs! The remixes of ‘Blackhouse’ are released on 24th November as a limited edition 12” and on all key digital platforms.
